We follow normal school hours with a Friday afternoon off to allow staff to work together on school development.
Flexibility for pupils to be part time home educated or to take part in
educational activities with their families is maintained. Clear arrangements
must be made and this flexibility must not become an excuse for families to take
holidays during term times.

Primary
1 initially attend only in the mornings. Between September and October holiday
afternoons are built up until they do a full week in the week before the October
holiday.

Most
primary 2 pupils will start staying for full afternoons, initially one building
up to a full week before Christmas. Some pupils will be ready to work for the
longer hours earlier than this and some will not be ready at this stage. The
timing of the move to full days will be adjusted at the teacher's discretion.
